BASIC CHIA PUDDING
WHAT YOU NEED
1 1/2 cups of nut mylk, we love using coconut milk (you could also make it entirely with water or half and half with mylk + water )
1/3 cup of chia seeds
Optional: 1 scoop of Vanilla or Chocolate Sunwarrior Protein Powder
*If not using Sunwarrior, add 1-3 tbsp of Maple Syrup, and sweeten to taste
*If using a blender you can substitute 5 pitted dates to sweeten
Pinch of sea salt
Optional: 1/4 cup of raw cacao powder
Optional: 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
*We do not recommend raw cacao for small babes and young kids as they'll never sleep. Trust us we've learned from experience.
Add all ingredients into a bowl, for the exception of the sweetener and mix well. Add the maple syrup last and add 1 tbsp at a time to taste.
Cover the bowl and place in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours to 5 hours or until it's reached the consistency of pudding.
You can also blend this recipe, by throwing all the ingredients into a blender for a smoother consistency. With this route you can also add dates for your sweetener.
This pudding can stay in the fridge for up to 3 days.
